Café Arabica

Café Arabica is not only your friendly neighbourhood café, but this café is steeped in history! We have been part of Redlands history since 1996 when the café concept was born amongst the beautiful leafy residential neighbourhood. A man who wanted a change in career direction took over in late 1996 and started this lovely café on 13 December.

As the story goes, Christmas Carols by Candlelight was on that particular day in Cleveland. It was a cold rainy day, and this café was the one open. Alan, the new café owner, described the day as a big hit! But, things were not that easy for a budding new café. Alan struggled through many changes, including economic challenges, staffing issues and an ever-evolving menu. Alan narrated many an interesting story about how much hard work and diligence everyone put in to make this café one of the best in these parts. Slowly, other coffee shops opened us close by, but this café kept going! And going!

The café eventually changed hand after 25 years after managing through GFC (Global Financial Crisis), natural calamities and COVID. We, the current owners, Sai and Marina, have made very effort to preserve Alans legacy whilst improving our service to you. The concept of a family owned cosy café in your neighbourhood continues to be our main theme, emphasising the innovative menu, excellent service and happy staff. We consider ourselves a community café and are interested I our clients!

For those new to us, this café is famous for our menu for delicious fresh food. Café Arabica is one of Cleveland’s most popular choices and has partnerships with local food business, Cleveland farmers market, Uber Eats, Door Dash and the community. We regularly hold community evets focusing on mental and physical health, and wellbeing.
